Smallicombe Farm check in and facility details

Check in Procedures
  • Your cottage will be ready from 4pm
  • On arrival your cottage will be unlocked with the keys on the welcome tray
    • However we would still love to welcome you to the farm so please ring the bell by the stone pig
  • There should be parking opposite your cottage, nose to the path.
    • If all spaces have been taken please drive up into the yard.
  • The Welcome tray will have a Devon tea, tea, coffee, sugar and bottle of locally made apple juice. There will also be a pint of milk in the fridge.
  • We will also supply you with a Smallicombe Farm tea towel and toilet roll
    • Please take both the tea towel and part used toilet rolls home with you.
  • There will also be a dish cloth, pan brush, washing up liquid, anti bac soap, mini bars of soap and an anti viral spray.
    • These are to maintain cleanliness throughout your stay.
  • We do have big name supermarkets in Honiton but there are also two good local farm shops that we recommend; The Grazing Cow & Millers, where you can buy your fruit, veg and dairy products.
  • We do also sell our own rare breed sausages, bacon, lamb, and beef.

Activities on the Farm
  • Animal feeding is available most mornings at 10am
    • Please just mention to us the night before if you are planing on joining in as it may not be possible on some mornings due to farm work
  • We have two play areas, shown on the farm map.
    • Hand santizer is provide for before and after use in the play areas.
    • We do ask that only one child uses the trampoline at any one time and that their shoes are removed.
  • There is a BBQ and pizza oven available for guest use in the main play area.
    • There is a small charge for the pizza oven but BBq is free but you will need your own charcoal.
    • You can not use shop bought pizza bases in teh pizza oven but we do sell home made kits that can be used.
  • There is a farm/fairy trail you can go on. The map is in the documents area but laminated ones are available on request.
  • The hot tub/sensory garden can be booked at an additional charge of £50.
  • Playing ball or Dizzy or Merlin
    • Both our dogs have endless energy for a good ball game. 
    • If one of the dogs try to join you please tell one of us, Merlin is not yet suitable trained to be walking through a flock of sheep!
  • During the pandemic we removed games and DVD from the cottages. Due to the large variety of games and DVD we have we have we have decide to store them next to the shop
    • Please ask if you would like to borrow any.
  • Brochures, guide books and leaflets can be found in the shop at the front of the farm house.
  • The laundry room is available on request.
At the end of your stay at Smallicombe Farm
  • Please check out of your cottage by 9.30am
    • You are more than welcome to stay on the farm and watch the animal feeding or go for a walk etc but we will be busy preparing the cottages for the new guests so please refrain from returning to your cottage.
  • Please strip your duvet covers, pillowcases and base sheets and place in the provided laundry bag
  • Please remove all rubbish and recycling and place in the correct bins outside
    • Please remember that ALL food waste needs to go in the blue bins.
    • No food waste is allowed in the wheelie bins
    • Also please rinse any items in the recycling bins as you would at home.
    • Any questions about Smallicombe recycling please ask.
  • Please empty your fridge and all food cupboards and take unfinished food home or dispose of in the correct external bins
